Italian biotechnology company IRB also showcased its technology in the in-focus space, claiming that its method of producing active ingredients from plants can save land, pesticide and water use.
According to the company, using plant tissue culture to produce 1kg of its Echinacoside ingredients can save 1147 square metres of land and 1378 tons of water.
