An advanced skin analysis system has been revised in order to
further aid health and beauty professionals to give educated skin
care advice and to closely analyse the on-going effects of skin
care formulations.

By identifying the diagnostic characteristics of the skin, the second version of the Clarity Pro skin counselling system allows consumers with skin care problems to find treatment plans more specific to their needs. Designed for use in retail outlets and beauty salons, the company states that the system could boost sales of skin care lines by offering consumers a chance view the results of the skin care treatment from first application - proving the efficacy of the product. The analysis system captures digital, high-resolution full-face images that recognise and extract particular skin condition features. These images prove vital to premium skin care specialists who rely on state-of-the-art systems to help devise pinpointed skin care formulas. Able to spot over 30 skin conditions, the new system also has a complexion image and analysis function that provides data for general skin tone evenness, redness and luminescence - and includes a new reporting function that allows consumers to print off reports that detail their consultation. The high-resolution images also allow skin care specialists to show consumers the on-going effects of formulas that have been specifically devised through the high quality photo analysis of the skin. The features could make the system indispensable to understanding and treating skin care problems whilst also help spot the early signs of wrinkles. Along with enhanced graphics and appearance quality, the system's wrinkle analysis has been completely revised in order to highlight areas of concern - information that can then be used to create skin care formulas that counteract the problem areas. A statement released by the company said 'Using mathematical algorithms, skin features and conditions are recognised and measured that would be impossible even for an experienced skin counsellor to recognise and extract from an image that is multi-dimensional and rich in information".
