Avery Dennison launches labels for curved or shaped bottles

The Curve Appeal technology used in the labels has been developed to match up with the curves or angles that are increasingly being used by manufacturers who want their products to stand on out crowded retail shelves.

Avery Dennison claims that the label development goes far beyond conventional label designs, allowing manufacturers to apply labels to intricately shaped bottles that have traditionally proven technically challenging to accomplish a perfect finish.

Curve Appeal technology​

Called Fasson Curvry, the company’s Curve Appeal technology has been incorporated into the film labels and are designed to work together in a machine application process.

Technically advanced label design to handle curves​

Technically, the label combines a wrap-round look that can support pressure-sensitive graphics, which in turn can create up to 30 percent more primary labeling space than a flat surface area, making a beneficial tool for branding.

Likewise, the application technology is also said to provide improved lay-down quality for the labels, which is said to be particularly beneficial for large-format and unique label designs.

The company also provides support for packaging designers that are interested in working with the new label design by providing them with advise on how they can successfully combine more complex-shaped bottles with the new labels.
