Florida-based Dermazone Solutions says that recent investment and
expansion has resulted in state-of-the-art cosmeceutical contract
manufacturing and development facilities that aim to tap into
significant market growth.

The company, which has been working in the field of nanotechnology to develop both pharmaceutical and cosmeutical solutions, lays claims to some of the most extensive skin-protection and precision skin care technology on the market. Further to this, it says newly extended facilities are backed up analytical, microbiological research and development facilities, providing the formulation technology for some of the most innovative personal care products on the market. Its manufacturing division, dermaCM, offers a variety of services within the cosmeceutical category, including formulating, private labeling, manufacturing and product development. Likewise, the facility is geared up to the production requirements of cosmeceutical brand holders, both in North America and worldwide. The move hones in on increasing consumer interest in personal care products that have a drug-based effectiveness. This means that they might incorporate properties such as active ingredients, phytochemicals, antioxidants or vitamins to increase efficacy of products such as anti-aging creams or moisturizers. Currently the cosmeceutical industry is valued at $35bn and has industry leading growth of 8.5 per cent a year. The company says that the contract manufacturing facilities, which are also geared up to the requirements of topical pharmaceutical brands, suit the requirements of companies seeking overflow production in response to a sharp rise in demand for products. Key benefits include the ability to offer reverse osmosis USP process water and flexibility of batch sizes. The company says that on top of this, it also offers access to its latest nanotechnology developments, an area of increasing interest to many cosmeceutical producers as it offers enhanced delivery vehicles for active ingredients. The company's patent pending NLP delivery system - nano-lipidic particles resulting from liposome chemistry - enables formulation work topical products including sunscreens, moisturizers, analgesics and skin, hair and scalp care. NLP is claimed to be effective and safe for beverage and nutricuetical applications.
