Unfiltered Experience rethinks what’s possible with virtual beauty events
Daniela Ciocan launched Unfiltered Experience in 2019; and she has since partnered with the international media and events producer Tarsus Group to expand the company behind the Unfiltered Experience events, ACCESS BEAUTY INSIDERS.
This year’s Unfiltered Experience will actually be a three-part online event series that kicks off in mid-October and concludes in mid-November:
- INFLUENCE will take place October 13 – 15
This event is an opportunity for cosmetics, personal care, fragrance, and wellness brand leaders to “meet one-on-one with authoritative voices and licensed professionals, in the beauty, wellness and lifestyle space, who care about recommending the right products to their communities,” according to the event site.
- RETAIL is scheduled for October 27 – 29
And, this event gives beauty brand leaders the opportunity to “explore new retail relationships with buyers from around the world. Forge new relationships with distributors who are interested in preserving the authenticity of your brand.”
- SCALE is set for November 10 – 12
“Whether it’s a meeting with a beauty chemist, a discussion with a packaging expert, or a desk-side visit with a notable beauty editor, access a personalized agenda of meetings that align with the needs of your brand.”
Partnerships and Programming of note
For this year’s virtual event series, Unfiltered Experience has teamed up with Landing International, a company that specializes in market insights, business development, and helping brands and distributors connect via an online matchmaking platform.
So as part of the 2020 virtual edition of Unfiltered Experience “retail buyers from across the nation will have the opportunity to browse every product featured during the tradeshow exclusively on Landing’s easy-to-use buying platform,” explains this week’s press release about the event series.
As with last year’s event, there will be educational programming for attendees too. Speakers highlighted on the site include Annie Johnson, CEO of Credo Beauty; fragrance expert and entrepreneur Harry Slatkin; Jamie Schmidt, Founder and CEO of Schmidt’s Naturals; Kelly Kovack, Founder of BeautyMatter; Lara Eurdolian, Founder of Pretty Connected; Dr. Gayatri Keskar, Head of Research at Material ConneXion; and more.
Even before the launch of Unfiltered Experience last year, Daniela Ciocan was well-known and respected in the beauty industry. For 15 years she worked as the Marketing Director of Cosmoprof North America: “After years producing the world’s biggest beauty event for major companies around the globe, it was important to me to try and bring that experience and insights to emerging brands in the space,” Ciocan tells the press.
Large in-person events rarely give attendees the chance to meet with right people (those who can help them scale their business) face-to face, says Ciocan adding that “virtual events allow for best personalization and ability to engage with best matches based on the participants’ interest rather than in a vacuum.”
“Our mission,” she says, “is to provide know-how, real connections and value to help emerging beauty brands grow.”
