Formulation challenge returns to in-cosmetics North America
This week the event organizers, Reed Exhibitions, confirmed that four big brand names will be sending the best their R&D professionals to compete, alongside two of the region’s top cosmetic and contract manufacturers.
Last year a team from Shiseido North America took the top prize and this year the title-holder will be returning to do battle against teams from Swiss American CDMO, Johnson and Johnson and Colgate-Palmolive.
Formulation Challenge hits the show floor
This year in-cosmetics North America will again be returning to the Jacob Javit’s Center in Manhattan, New York, where the formulation lab forms one of the main attractions on the show floor.
The event is taking place on October 23rd and 24th, with the Formulation Challenge taking place on the first day, from 3:45pm to 5:15pm, and is being supported by Act Solutions Corp and marketing intelligence provider Mintel.
This year the new technical adviser to the show, Mark Chandler, will be setting the challenge and picking out the winner and runner up, with the help of returning judge Sarah Jindal of Mintel.
The event will be live-streamed on Facebook
The event traditionally creates a real buzz on the show floor, attracting a large number of formulation professional who come along to support fellow colleagues and to learn new techniques and ingredient options.
The Formulation Challenge will also be live-streamed on the in-cosmetics Group Facebook page, adding to the anticipation of another large crowd on the show floor.
The results of the event will be announced by Mark Chandler at an after show event dedicated to the in-cosmetics North America Awards, at 6pm, while the results will also be announced on Cosmetics Design USA.
