Euromonitor outline the positives and negatives of using social media

At the recent HBA event in New York, we caught up with Euromonitor senior researcher Virginia Lee who spoke about both the benefits and pitfalls associated with social media.

Social media is becoming an increasingly important tool to market and promote personal care and cosmetic brands, particularly in more niche categories.

In this video interview Lee outlines how this rapidly growing and evolving phenomenon is being adopted by younger consumers to find out more information and to test new products.

However, Lee also points out that social media is not exclusively for the younger generation, and points out how older generations can also be targeted, if the approach is correct.
