According to Artiste principal Joe Raimondo, the partnership aims to build business and forge new opportunities by combining the marketing, sales and customer knowledge of Artiste with the product and processing expertise of Cilione.

“This team offers the flavor and fragrance market a wide range of high quality Italian oils directed to the ever-growing sophisticated requirements of these clients that includes not only the product, but the total service package,” he told CosmeticsDesign.com USA.

Market for citrus products

Cilione produces a wide range of oils for both flavor and fragrance applications. The company offers over 50 types of lemon, orange, mandarin and bergamot in various forms including folded, decolorized and terpeneless.

According to Raimondo, there exists a current market opportunity for smaller, highly specialized companies to compete with some of the bigger suppliers of flavor and fragrance ingredients.

“The demand has been, and remains, strong for high quality, pure and natural oils. Although historically dominated by a few processors, the economic environment has opened doors for highly skilled, technically sound, customer oriented suppliers,” he said.

Partnering with suppliers

Artiste works with a variety of manufacturers of in the field of food, beverage and consumer fragranced products.

“Artiste has developed processor, marketing and sales relationships with a select group of companies in product areas that include citrus, mint oils and extracts,” said Raimondo.

“We continue working to support market demand for high quality specialty ingredients by formalizing alliances and broadening our range of product offerings and technical and marketing support,” he added.
