Conference tackles issue of sustainable fragrances

Sustainable Fragrances 2010 is a conference designed to guide fragrance makers towards creating cleaner and greener products.

To be held May 20 – 21 at the Hotel Monaco Alexandria, in Alexandria, Virgina, the event will feature a number of leading professionals representing the major players in the category.

Ultimately the conference aims to bring together the personal care and fragrance industry, as well as representing raw materials suppliers and the cleaning products industry to learn how to source more sustainably.

Personal care players will learn about issues such as how changes to eco-labeling criteria will impact the product roll-out as well as finding out about how to meet such criteria from suppliers.

How sustainability affects the supply chain

Likewise ingredients and raw materials suppliers will be able to learn about how sustainability can affect the entire supply chain, as well as providing a networking opportunity.

The conference will include 18 presentations from industry experts who will be highlighting key market trends, technical developments and applications relevant to advancing this highly topical agenda.

The presentations themselves will include the key speakers and question-and-answer sessions as well as in depth panel discussions.

Leading industry names

Key speakers will include Francoise Rapp, creative designer and developer in the fragrance field and author of the book, ‘Aromatherapy and its benefits.

Likewise there will be speakers from leading executives representing companies such as SEKI Coemticals, Trilogy Fragrances, Robertet Fragrances and Sophyto Organics.

Organizers Intertech Pira says it is offering a ‘super early bird’ discount incentive to those who book before March 19, 2010.
