The biggest event in the North American personal care industry’s diary, which runs from 15 – 17 September, has opened up for pre-registration.

As usual the 17th annual HBA event will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City and this year there will be a special focus on the educational and conferencing program, which will be bigger than ever.

The keynote address event will be given by Horst Rechelbacher, founder of both Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients, who is a leading spokesperson and advocate for the natural and organic personal care category.

Expanded conference and educational program

The event will also include a comprehensive conference and educational program, which will include some of the industry’s most eminent figures discussing various topics within key areas.

Those areas will include a trends conference, a private label, and an x-ceuticals conference detailing latest developments in the nutricosmetics and cosmeceutical categories, a green conference and a series of technical workshops.

The organizers say that this year’s educational program is significantly enhanced compared to previous years, underlining the increasing importance industry professionals are placing on crucial information to help make informed business decisions.

Mintel to showcase major industry launches

Mintel will also be playing a major part on the stands, highlighting some of the most eye-catching and prominent trends in the industry. At last year’s event the market researcher showcased new product launches from around the world and demonstrated a number of nutricosmetic launches.

This year the awards dinner will not take place. Instead it will be replaced by an in-house presentation for the International Package Design Awards, which will be announced as part of the event’s day time program.

To encourage early registration, the event organizers are offering free exhibit passes as well as vouchers to the value of $200 against any of the conference packages that are on offer.
