Several webinars are planned for the year with the first one taking place on April 29 organized around the theme of “thinking outside the box”.
Year round education
Felicia Bonavita-Isoldi, the marketing manager for HBA Global Expo Events, told CosmeticsDesign.com that adding webinars to its existing trade show and conference program will “bring education year round.”
This, she said, would promote the HBA brand and therefore complement its other events.
Bonavita-Isoldi said the webinar format would also offer attendees in-depth and targeted sessions that would perhaps not be feasible to run at a conference.
The first webinar, for example, brings together a diverse group of speakers from a naturals company, a service provider and a green waste firm to illustrate how out of the ordinary ideas can create successful businesses.
Line-up for first HBA webinar
The speaker line-up includes:
- Ido Leffler, CEO, Yes to Carrots, will speak on “A history of saying YES,” and share his creative strategies for building the Yes to Carrots range of natural cosmetics. With natural becoming the norm, he will also tell participants how to build a brand that will stand out from the pack.
- Anthony Iacovone, Chief Strategy Officer, Augme Mobile will address “Innovative on-the-box technologies: Uplifting sales and consumers using mobile response,” will talk about the potential advertising potential of mobile phones.
- Albe Zakes, Director of Public Relations, TerraCycle, will discuss “Poop packaging: the wonderful world of waste.” Zakes will show how by thinking about waste materials in a new light, people can build products that save money and the planet.
