Risdon International has created a new lipstick packaging for Avon
- Pro-To-Go -which has been designed to enable the user to apply
the lipstick using one hand.

The packaging company says the key to easy access and use of the lipstick is the fact that it contains a small 'door', which has been especially designed for the product. Risdon says that this door opens and closes as the pomade is pushed out and retracted with a push/pull button that is easy to access and use. Two phase process The two phase process means that when the slide button is first activated it presses the lipstick sleeve against the door to open it while the pomade remains within. The second phase of the mechanism means that the pomade is extended from the sleeve, which is the crux of the single-handed application and where the advantage is gained over conventional mechanisms. Aiming for luxury image The Pro-To-Go lipstick is molded in black with a clear UV top coat and is enhanced with a debossed Avon logo, which the manufacturer claims will lend a more luxurious image and feel to the lipstick. The sleeve for the lipstick is finished in an anodized aluminum, which further helps to give the product an up-market feel. Risdon is a global player of caps and closures, compacts, mascaras, lipsticks and lip-gloss and currently has eight manufacturing facilities in North America and Asia. Last year it made acquisitions in China, which have now been streamlined in an effort to take advantage of fast growing cosmetic and fragrance sales in this market
