Arizona-based food ingredients player RiceBran Technologies is set to launch a new line of rice bran-based skin care products that target both the personal care and nutricosmetics categories.
Rice based cosmetics are again making an impact on the beauty
industry, with the Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA)
in Malaysia having agreed a proposal to embark on a joint venture
with a local company in Kedah.
Within the personal care sector Eastman is a name that has
traditionally been associated with packaging materials, but this is
rapidly changing as the company hones its personal care portfolio
with its first ever natural active ingredient.
Tocotrienols may protect the skin from the aging effects of
pollution and UV rays better and in smaller quantities than other
forms of vitamin E, according to Eastman Chemical Company.
