At the start of the month, South Africa – based Sasol Chemicals and Univar Solutions announced a distribution agreement that has Univar as the company’s primary distributor of alcohols and surfactants here in the US as well as in Canada.
Addressing the key issue of fragrance oxidation, specialty
chemicals group Arkema has launched Oxynitrox S100, an oxidation
catalyst aimed specifically at formulation developers.
New laws introduced by the Russian government governing the
regulation of alcohol could decimate the country's fragrance
industry and affect a number of other cosmetic products that use
alcohol as a base ingredient.
