The three-day event is scheduled to commence in the Asia Pacific (Jan 29), followed by Europe on (Jan 30), and North America on (Jan 31). Our editors will be joined by a raft of industry experts to discuss how the industry must align with the behaviour and preferences of tomorrow's beauty consumers.

In this inaugural edition, we will gaze into the future, examining the evolving concept of beauty for the next generation. We'll delve into how the industry must align itself with the expectations of tomorrow's consumers.

The summit will kick-off in APAC with three sessions – next-gen skin care opportunities, next-gen colour innovation, and next gen Asian consumer decoded.

Next, our Europe broadcast will tackle next-gen beauty microbiome opportunities, next gen circular beauty innovation and discuss next-gen European skin care consumer revealed

We will round up the digital summit with our North America broadcast which will explore next gen hair care innovation, next gen beauty from within opportunities, and next gen trends in ingredient sustainability.

Ultimately, the summit aims to decode the new consumer’s perceptions and expectations while anticipating the biggest opportunities and the challenges that the industry will face as it moves towards the future.

Who will speak at the event?

In Asia on 29th January 2024 

We’ll hear from Johanna Monange, founder of Maison 21G. For twenty-five years, Johanna worked tirelessly for a number of creative powerhouses of the perfume industry, including Firmenich and IFF, where she took the role of creative director. Her inspiring career led her to work alongside globally-renowned noses, and her life was devoted to developing scents for luxury brands such as La Vie est Belle for Lancôme, One Million for Paco Rabanne, Acqua di Gioia for Armani, Spicebomb for Viktor & Rolf, and many more . In 2019, Johanna pursued her dream of founding her own house of Scent Design, Maison 21G, with the aim of giving consumers the ability to unleash their creativity and become co-creators of their own signature fragrances.

We’ll be joined by Xiang Wen Hong, Global Senior Director at Kenvue. With over five years of global innovation and brand development experience at the headquarters of L’Oreal, the world’s largest cosmetics company, Xiang Wen has strong background in brand growth strategy, innovation and communications development, passionate about the consumer and science story-telling. She is also experienced in global, regional and local roles in global matrix organizations, across developed and developing markets.

We'll speak to Trend Forecaster and Futurist Melissa Hago. As an industry insider, she is constantly exposed to the latest innovations and trends working closely with brands and companies guiding them on product development by providing cultural movements, consumer behaviour and key beauty and wellness shifts. Melissa is an avid public speaker and has been quoted as an industry expert in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Dazed Beauty, Nylon, Beauty Matter, ​and more.

And on our panel, we will also be joined by Katia Darde, Digital, E-commerce & CRM Director for Southeast Asia at Coty, where she is responsible for driving omnichannel transformation and e-commerce growth across more than 15 brands, including Gucci, Burberry, Chloe, and Hugo Boss. Since joining Coty in mid-2021, Katia has fearlessly spearheaded her team to engineer robust digital and e-commerce strategies. One of her recent achievements includes launching Coty's largest digital flagship stores in Southeast Asia for the Hugo Boss & Marc Jacobs Fragrances on LazMall, resulting in increased online revenue growth. 

In Europe on 30th January 2024

Meanwhile in Europe, we’ll be joined by Jayn Sterland, managing director at Weleda in the UK. As a leader at a brand that’s long been a pioneering force in sustainable beauty, Sterland’s wealth of expertise makes her the ideal person to discuss the future of circular beauty. Not only will she share how the brand plans to move forward, she will also reveal insights on next-generation sustainability for the entire industry. 

On the topic of next generation skin care, we will hear from Margo Marrone (founder of The Organic Pharmacy) and wellness influencer Roxy Marrone who have recently co-founded holistic skin care-wellness brand, Eyeam. As younger consumers are increasingly fascinated by skin science, the mind-body connection and holistic beauty regimes, we’ll zoom in on the fusion of science and spirituality that’s set to grip the category and discuss the hot topic of psycho-dermatology. 

And to discuss what's set to happen next in the microbiome space, we'll speak to Dr Magali Moreau, Deputy Domain Leader - Advanced Research at L'Oréal R&I. Dr Moreau oversees the microbiome laboratories in France and is deputy domain leader for the discovery program at L’Oréal R&I. She thrives in translating scientific discoveries in the field of microbe-host interaction into products that make an impact on people’s wellbeing. For the past six years, she has placed particular emphasis on the realm of microbiome science. She has collaborated with key academic leaders such as the Center for Microbiome Innovation at UCSD to strengthen the science of this emerging field and has also promoted partnerships with startup ventures seeking to bring novel and efficacious solutions to market. Her research projects have contributed to knowledge and testing of concept for eczema, acne, sensitive skin and cleansing. 

In the US on 31st January 2024

Over in the US, we’ll be joined by Walter Faulstroh, CEO and Co-Founder of HUM Nutrition. The California-based brand specialises in ingredient formulations that best support an individual’s unique nutritional needs, and he will share his insights and experiences into the next generation of Beauty from Within supplements, including trend forecasting, sustainability, and more.

Speaking on the latest hair care trends, we’ll be joined by Helena Gibson, Founder and CEO of Strut Hair Solutions, Inc. and Unveil Hair Care. Gibson is an award-winning entrepreneur, host of The 7-Figure Salon Academy podcast, and an expert in hair care and wellness. She will share her expertise regarding the current and future US hair care consumer, ingredient and product formulation trends, and advice for companies looking to innovate within the hair care industry.

And finally, with a following of over over 360,000 on Instagram, Mad Rabbit Tattoo is a skin care industry disruptor to watch. We’ll be joined by SVP of Marketing Erin Murray to discuss Ingredient Sustainability, including how the company recently reformulated its product line to be completely vegan, the impact that social media has made on the sustainable skin care space, and other factors she anticipates will shape sustainable ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products in the future.
