SHOW WILL NOW TAKE PLACE IN OCTOBER FOLLOWING SECOND POSTPONEMENT
Update: in-cosmetics Global postponed due to COVID-19
Initially scheduled to take place March 31 – April 2 in Barcelona and postponed to June, the European cosmetics trade show will now be held 6-8 October.
Cathy Laporte, portfolio director at show organiser Reed Exhibitions, said: “The situation surrounding COVID-19 is constantly changing. The health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff is our number one priority and we will remain guided by the expert advice of the public health authorities.”
“We understand that the global pandemic is having planning and financial implications for the industry. We have therefore proactively taken this decision well in advance of the current June dates to allow exhibitors and visitors more time to prepare and gain maximum value for the event when it happens.”
Laporte previously said postponing the trade show had been a “difficult decision because of the major importance of this event to the personal care industry”.
‘Inspiring to see the resilience’
Despite a difficult few months globally, she said it had been “inspiring to see the resilience of the industry, and how companies have been adapting to the situation”.
Beauty and personal care companies across the globe had repurposed factories to support production of healthcare products like hand sanitisers, among many other actions. Our recent podcast discusses just exactly how the global market has responded to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
