Silicone specialist NuSil Technologies has confirmed that it is entering into the skin care market with the launch of a new silicone-based ingredient brand.

CareSil is the name of the brand that will give way to a broad range of skin care ingredients, as well as the name for the company’s new business division.

The CareSil range is being developed around the company’s significant silicone expertise and customer service to deliver what the US-based company terms as being ‘medical quality meet the needs of virtually any skin care application’.

Broad spectrum of skin care ingredients

This will entail a broad spectrum of cosmetic and personal care formulations, including moisturizers, sunscreens, skin repair serums and anti-wrinkle lotions, to name a few.

“NuSil’s extensive experience in regulatory support stems from our legacy in the medical industry,”​ said Brian Nash, vice president, the company vice president of sales and marketing.

“It is this experience and connection and connection to the human body and human life that have shaped the mentality behind our skin care silicones.”

The company believes that it is its experience in the medical sector that has lent it the capabilities required to launch into the personal category by giving it a clear understanding of both the regulatory environment behind it.

The company has significant experience with both medical implant and healthcare applications, many skin care ingredients require regulatory protocol which follows along the same lines.
