Hair Care/ Color brands connect to consumers with Instagram
Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking service that enables users to take pictures, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as media sites including Facebook or Twitter.
Brands and cosmetics companies have utilized its popularity to visually communicate and connect with consumers.
According to L2 ThinkTank’s latest report on the market segment, Revlon and AXE, both multicategory brands, lead the way for consumer brands, while Aveda and Bumble and bumble register the top communities across professional brands.
Bumble and bumble’s engagement exceeds expectations given its size, and it has provided a consistent stream of behind-the-scenes images from international fashion weeks and candid moments at the stylist’s chair.
The three brands with the most organic buzz on Instagram all have active accounts: #Revlon registered more than 180,000 user mentions followed by #Paulmitchell (nearly 71,000) and #Axe (more than 63,500).
