At last week’s Cosmoprof North America tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada, Steinberg spoke with Cosmetics Design editor Deanna Utroske about her new brand’s impressive retail reach; what young women expect from packaging and formulation; how millennials approach entrepreneurship; and what the Queen V brand is really all about.

“When I feel good on the inside, I feel like I’m more confident and I do my best,” Lauren Steinberg, founder of Queen V, tells Cosmetics Design.

She goes on to further illustrate the importance of well feminine care products: “a lot of women think about skin care, for example a face mask, it kind of feels like you’re treating yourself….You should be able to treat yourself down there as well,” says Steinberg referring to women’s vaginal self-care.

Queen V product benefits are basically wellness, enjoyment, and staving off infection. The brand’s product portfolio includes an on-trend rose-water mist and an ingestible millennial-friendly probiotic. “We don’t have time to refrigerate our probiotic,” acknowledges Steinberg (a millennial woman, herself) “and if you do refrigerate it, we probably forget to take it,” she adds.

Queen V is brand for young women, from young women—a niche few, if any, multinational brands fill right now.
