APAC is always an innovation hotspot for the beauty industry. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the launches that are set to be unveiled at this year’s Cosmoprof Asia show…

The 2025 edition of Cosmoprof Asia is set to take place in Hong Kong between 11 – 14 November and is guaranteed to be a hub of industry innovation.

We spoke to some exhibitors about what they are planning to launch at this year’s show...

A ‘white-tanning’ device

According to general manager at Dos&Younique Hyunjeong (Lenny) Park, the beauty equipment company that specialises in ‘white-tanning’ devices (which help users achieve whiter, brighter-looking skin) will showcase its Younique WS flagship professional LED facial device equipped with 2,340 LEDs and IR for clinically proven skin rejuvenation.

“It continues to lead the market,” said Park, who also revealed that the business will launch the LED version of Younique W “a popular upper-body ‘white tanning’ device that has been enhanced with skin-rejuvenating LED technology.”

Dos&Younique is also set to unveil range of new personal care products designed to meet the evolving needs of Asian consumers.

“Asian beauty trends place a strong emphasis on skin clarity, radiance, and non-invasive care,” said Park.

“Unlike the Western preference for bronzing or contouring, Asian consumers seek treatments that enhance their natural tone, soothe sensitivity, and support long-term skin health – objectives that our latest innovations are perfectly aligned with.”

AI-powered diagnostic device for feet

This year, nail care expert manufacturer Nail Ace is unveiling a new AI-powered diagnostic device that analyses problematic foot conditions, according to the company’s CEO Jaebum Lee (Derick Lee).

“The Asian beauty market is remarkably fast-moving in terms of development and transformation,” said Lee.

“While the focus was once largely on nail art, we are now seeing strong demand for professional care and wellness solutions.”

Lee added that this shift towards functional beauty is “reshaping both product categories and service models across the region.”

Microbiome-based skin care & climate-focused scalp care

General manager at Pyunkang Yul, Olivia Kim, shared that the South Korean skin care company is introducing microbiome-supporting skin care, calming derma solutions, and scalp-focused routines that are designed for humid, urban environments.

“Asian markets prioritise gentle, layered routines, plant-derived actives, and wellness-integrated beauty,” said Kim. “This is distinct from Western trends that often favour instant, intensive results and simplified regimens.”

Packaging for increased speed to market & sustainability

According to Dongpil Choi, who is CEO at Woojung Tech, the business will present its newest filling systems for lipsticks, powders and mascaras, which are designed for high precision and output.

“These systems increase speed and reduce filling deviation, ideal for brands focused on both quality and efficiency,” he explained. “As APAC markets demand faster, more varied launches, our equipment enables quick line changes and stable production, even for small batch, diverse SKUs,” he said.

Choi said that Woojung Tech is also embedding sustainability into its operations. “Ahead of the show, we’re completing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, reinforcing our ESG commitment across our supply chain and workplace,” he explained.

“We’re also preparing for ESG supplier audits and reporting, helping clients meet rising regional expectations without compromising on production quality.”
