Beauty Pitch Alert: The Big Find returns at QVC and HSN

For the third year now, the video commerce and livestream retailer Qurate is running The Big Find pitch competition to discover founder-led brands across consumer product categories, including cosmetics and personal care.

“The QVC and HSN platforms have allowed us to bring our brand to life in a way we never thought possible by being able to speak directly to the customer about how underarm care is just as important as skin care and sharing what makes our products so unique and special,”​ says Mila Shmurak, Founder of the clean deodorant brand Bare Pits​.

Bare Pits was a winner of last year’s Big Find competition and is now included among the clean beauty brands featured on that site and platform. “We are so grateful to have our dreams come true by being a part of this experience and to now be a part of the QVC and HSN vendor community,” ​says Shmurak in today’s media release announcing the 2021 pitch competition. And, she concludes, “We look forward to growing our business together.”

The Big Find is a virtual pitch competition again in 2021

This year’s competition for entrepreneur-led brands kicks off on April 28. And through June 8, interested brands can submit video showcasing their brand story and their product during the first phase of the event.

In August, select brands will pitch live over video to QVC and HSN merchandising executives, program hosts, and founders of brands that are already seeing success on QVC and HSN. Winners receive ‘Big Tickets’ to move on and participate in discussions with the retailer’s merchandizers.

“The Big Find has become our flagship program for product discovery, enabling us to assess thousands of entrepreneurs worldwide and introduce dozens of fresh new brands and innovative products to our customers each year,” ​says Mary Campbell, Chief Merchandising Officer for Qurate Retail Group, and Chief Commerce Officer at QVC US, in today’s media release.

“Our multiplatform video commerce experience gives entrepreneurs the unique opportunity to share their personal stories with millions of customers and start turning their businesses into nationally beloved brands,” ​she says, adding, “We have been so inspired by the Big Find brands we have launched thus far, and we look forward to finding even more products for our customers to love.”
