The holding company behind vegan ecommerce site Vegii (shopvejii.com) announced the partnership last week along with the forthcoming launch of a Dear Self Care color cosmetics product line.

Based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, Vejii Holdings specializes in vegan and plant-based CPG products and put leading-edge tech tools like smart lists, reorders features, subscription programs, and AI to work on its ecommerce site Vegii.

“Traditionally, consumers have had to shop at multiple locations to purchase the products they require. Vejii aims to provide a centralized shopping experience, with the added benefit of having all of your products delivered to your door,” said Vejii CEO Kory Zelickson in November 2020 when the marketplace launched.

“We anticipate that this will help consumers who are leading increasingly busy lifestyles to still make healthy choices for themselves, their families, and the planet,” adds Zelickson.

Vejii is a multi-brand online platform for vegan beauty and personal care and more

The ecommerce platform already features over 2,000 food items; nearly 75 sports nutrition products; 85 supplements; items for babies, kids and pets; and some 700 products across cosmetics, fragrance, personal care, bath and body, and home care. (And wine is in line to be added to site soon too.)

Among some of the larger beauty brands with product on the site are Tom’s of Maine (owned by Colgate-Palmolive) Method (SC Johnson), The Honest Company (funded by L Catterton), Mineral Fusion (owned by BWX), Schmidt’s (Unilever), EcoTools (owned by PPI Beauty / Freeman Beauty), Derm e (owned by Topix Pharmaceuticals), and Nubian Heritage (Sheamoisture / Unilever).

And this is only the beginning. According to that November press release, “The platform is built to scale and can accommodate thousands of vendors and millions of products. The Company is focused on continuing to onboard new vendors, distributors, and brands, to enhance its offering and enter into new partnerships and product categories.”

Tia Blanco teams with Vegii to launch Dear Self Care makeup line

Award-winning professional surfer Tia Blanco is no stranger to the world of vegan products. Besides being a vegan herself, Blanco has seen success as a CPG influencer. She worked with Beyond Meat, promoting that company’s products to her 1 million + social followers.

She’s also the Founder of the vegan skincare brand Dear Self Care, which retails on Vejii. And together Blanco and Vejii are preparing to expand the brand into color cosmetics.

“We are very excited to work so closely with Tia, who on top of being a world-famous athlete and influencer, is an incredible spokesperson for Veganism…. We respect Tia's social media expertise, her ability to connect with millions of people across platforms, and we embrace her integrity and passion,” Zelickson tells the press.

As for Blanco, she’s “proud to promote the company's mantra to my followers, across many different platforms,” as she says in last week’s press release about the new partnership.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with an emerging industry leader like Vejii. I also look forward to working with the Vejii marketing team and their ultimate vision while assisting in social media growth, brand awareness, and brand development.”

Looking ahead to the makeup line launch, Blanco explains, “At Dear Self, we focus on sustainability, quality, cruelty-free, and of course, plant-based – all of which align with Vejii and their corporate values. This opportunity will allow us to expand our reach across the country. It is important that we align our brand with companies with similar values to ours, and Vejii couldn't be a better fit.”
