Beauty packaging and product solutions company WWP sets lofty financial goals despite the pandemic

While many in the cosmetics and personal care industry are withdrawing or revising their 2020 projections, WWP is confident that its business can grow even now.

In 2018 Bain Capital acquired WWP and today that firm’s Managing Director Jonathan Zhu is “delighted to welcome Jennifer as the new CFO.”

“Even when considering the challenges posed by the global pandemic,” he says in this week’s press release, “Bain Capital is highly confident in WWP’s success in the beauty market landscape,” remarking that “Jennifer will help us continue to accelerate WWP’s growth trajectory and strengthen the company’s global financial structure.”

And Adams is up to the challenge: “I couldn’t imagine a more exciting time to join the WWP team,” she says, adding that, “The company is headed in a direction of rapid upward growth on a global scale, and I am very much looking forward to being a part of this growth alongside the executive management team.”

In partnership with Bain Capital, WWP has seen inorganic grown

In 2018 the New Jersey – based company expanded it full-service turn-key cosmetics and personal care business with the acquisition of Cosmetic Design Group. And last year the company acquired beauty packager Design Quest.

These deals “followed the opening of WWP’s first wholly owned manufacturing facility in China – a 100,000-square-foot plant in Suzhou,” notes the release.

WWP is currently a company of some 2,000 employees with offices and facilities across the US and around the world. It’s this team to which Adam’s brings her CFO skills. Before joining WWP, she most recently served as CFO of NYDJ Apparel, The Collected Group before that, and spent 8 years in CFO roles at the VF Corporation, leading brands like 7 For All Mankind and JanSport.
