The three-day event, held at the Sao Paulo Expo Center, closed its doors last week, on May 23rd, putting the seal on a busy event which organisers Nurnberg Messe are hoping will exceed visitor numbers for last year.
This year there were several important new additions to the show, and probably the most important was the expansion of the conference program, which was run in tandem with the event and organised by Brazilian industry association ABC.
One stop shop
The show floor essentially acted as a one stop shop for industry professionals this year, covering every aspect of the industry, with clearly defined areas dedicated to the different areas of the business.
The show floor had primary areas dedicated to raw materials, machinery and equipment, packaging, outsourcing and fragrance, as well as accessories and services.
There were also new addition to the show floor this year, including the Talk Science platform, which included a full program of dedicated speakers, all lifting the lid on scientific innovations that are serving to raise the bar for the industry's capabilities.
Look our for Cosmetics Design video coverage
The Cosmetics Design editorial team was at the event and we managed to speak with some of the big movers and shakers of the cosmetics and personal world.
Look out for video interviews with Lauren Goodsitt, global beauty analyst at Mintel, who gave a presentation for the Talk Science platform at the event about fragrance innovation, as well as discussions with president of ABC and the president of Nurnberg Messe.
Those interviews will all be posted on Cosmetics Design USA in the course of this week and next week, so don't forget to look out for them!
