In mid-September, the North American edition of Easyfairs beauty packaging event will showcase the latest in aerosol, dispensing, perfume, and cosmetic packaging. The 2-day show will feature exhibitors, tours, awards, and educational presentations pertinent to the industry at large as well as special programming for attendees from indie brands.

This year’s ADF&PCF show will take place September 17 and 18 at the Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

“We have big plans for our 4th edition,” Paul MacDonald, global brand director of Easyfairs Packaging Portfolio says in a media release announcing this year’s show. “Whether the objective is to listen, learn, network, buy or browse, ADF&PCD New York provides visitors with the perfect platform to stay ahead of the competition,” promises MacDonald.

“The conference program,” he says, “will look at the most pressing industry challenges and hottest trends, whilst the show floor will be packed with the very latest technologies and services designed to improve the way our industry operates.”

Indie brands welcome

Most industry shows now cater to independent beauty makers is some fashion. And the ADF&PDC event is no exception. In 2018, ADF&PCD added a category for indie brands to its Innovation Awards and had a bit dedicated programming for indies too.

This year “there will also be plenty for indie beauty brands to see at the show,” according to the media release, “including a series of exciting lunch-and-learn sessions, with speakers talking about how they overcame challenges and how to best market solutions to catch the attention of the consumer.”

Programming for all

EcoTours will be held again during the show. These guided tours of the exhibition space are meant to help interested attendees connect with beauty packaging suppliers featuring environmentally sustainable materials and packaging solutions. “The tour allows participants to meet with the suppliers making the biggest strides in sustainability and provides them with the opportunity to discuss any challenges they might have relating to environmental issues and improvements,” explains the event media release.

There will be educational talks and panel discussions for both ADF and PCD conference attendees. ADF programing focuses on aerosol and dispensing topics, while the PCD program is about personal care, fragrance, and cosmetics packaging design.

For the second year now the Pentawards conference coincides with the ADF&PCD show: “The Pentawards Conference will see the best and brightest creative design minds from all over the globe taking to the stage to discuss how to turn packaging design challenges into opportunities,” according to the release.

And the ADF&PCD Innovation Awards ceremony will be held as part of this year’s event as well.
