Antiperspirant wipes target on-the-go trend

Antiperspirant-focused brand Carpe has launched a new antiperspirant, targeting the growing market for on-the-go cosmetic and personal care solutions.

The company chose to launch the new wipe on Valentines Day, claiming this as a fitting moment because of the nerves and potentially embarrassing sweating that can arise from going on a date.

The wipes come in a 10 x 9 inch cloth size, which the company says provides an ample dose of its pamplemousse-scented antiperspirant formula that can be used for the whole body, not just for under arms.

A whole body approach to sweating

The company, which is known for its whole body antiperspirant solutions, says that the launch provides a more portable and convenient on-the-go solution for those suffering from excessive sweating.

"We're excited to be able to deliver powerful sweat protection in a new, convenient format," said David Spratte, CEO of Carpe.

"The antiperspirant wipes provide portable and versatile relief, and align with our goal to provide antiperspirant solutions for the whole body, because people don't just sweat under their arms. This is the first of several innovations that we look forward to rolling out this year."

A business born out of sweating condition

The Carpe business was established when college roommates David Spratte and Kasper Kubica both realized they suffered from the same condition that causes excessive sweating, called hyperhidrosis.

The condition often causes great social anxiety to sufferers, and realizing that there were no over-the-counter solutions on the manage the condition, Spratte and Kubica decided to launch a product range to tackle the problem.

“Although we founded Carpe to create a solution for hyperhidrosis patients, we've since built a broad and diverse fan base,” said Spratte.

“Today our products are enjoyed by business professionals, tennis players, joggers, and more. We hope that our antiperspirant wipes provide one more way for all kinds of users to enjoy refreshing and reliable sweat protection."

Carpe currently offers a line of other sweat-reducing products, including a clinical-strength underarm antiperspirant and antiperspirant hand and foot lotions.
