Once you’ve found inspiration or pinpointed a compelling trend, “you have to take it and transform it,” says Recckio. “You can’t always take it literally and slam it in to your category. You’ve got to be business savvy; you’ve got to take your consumer insights [into consideration], you’ve got to know your customer.”
