Pamela Gill Alabaster comes to Revlon, most previously, from Estée Lauder Companies. There she “recently served as VP Global Corporate Responsibility charged with developing the strategic framework for [the company’s] corporate responsibility program,” according to a press release from Revlon.
Additionally, she has worked with L’Oréal for some 20 years in an array of senior and management roles: SVP of corporate communications and external affairs, SVP of corporate media, SVP of marketing for the Lancome brand, VP of brand marketing, and “most recently as its Senior Vice President Corporate Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainable Development,” according to the release.
As Revlon’s lead on Global Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Alabaster reports to company president and CEO Fabian Garcia.
“As we continue to execute our strategy which ensures that Revlon is the quintessential and most innovative beauty company in the world, Pam’s depth of experience in strategic communications and CSR will be an important asset,” Garcia tells the press.
She’s part of the company’s global strategy team and will be working with every sort of person that holds an interest in the business. “Pam’s insight and proven ability to successfully build strategic collaborations will contribute greatly to our global strategy and help us reach the highest standards that our consumers, employees, shareholders, investors and other stakeholders expect from us,” notes Garcia.
New people, new plan
Garcia is fairly new to his leadership role with Revlon too. It was mid-April when he took on the CEO post after working with Colgate-Palmolive for 13 years. Garcia also joined the Revlon board at that time. Revlon’s previous CEO Lorenzo Delpani left at the start of March.
More recently the company acquired nail care, nail color brand Cutex to further their global reach in that category. And just last month the company acquired prestige beauty company Elizabeth Arden. With buys like these and leadership appointments that focus on international strategy and experience, Revlon is deliberately moving to gain a stronger position in the global beauty market.
