The beauty and health technology company leverages its patented and proprietary systems in innovative ways and just launched water-free balm masks, announcing that they’ll be in stores this spring.

The company, based in Quebec, Canada, is confident that its product is advancing the mask category: “Our forward-thinking team has worked tirelessly to answer the need for innovation in the cosmetic mask market,” Karine Théberge, founder of Biomod, tells the press.

Hands down

The Time Eraser skin care collection comprises water-free balm masks that, according to the company’s press materials, “deliver an impressive 87% active content and emollients.”

And, it’s anti-aging that goes beyond the face. There’ the Youth Radiant Mask, which is an upper-facial mask; the Sculpting Mask, for the neck and face; and most notably, the Hand Perfecting Mask.

The anti-aging category has been expanding into new areas, encouraging younger consumers to preserve their youthful skin longer and creating products that target areas beyond the face.

Hand MD is another company at work in this niche. “Thanks to advancements in anti-aging, our face no longer reveals our true age but our hands do,” explained Hand MD co-founder Kara Harshbarger in a media release last August.

Cutting edge

The company’s biotech solutions include controlled release of actives via vectorization, a printing process that distributes active on soft materials and fabric, and a fragrance diffusion technology.

Biomimetic MicroVector is the technology behind these new masks. “The vectors, supercharged with an age-fighting cocktail of ingredients, are imprinted onto a soft textile mask,” explains the company. “Rather than the uncomfortable wet texture offered by traditional masks, the actives-loaded BMV™ imprint has a rich, balm-like texture which transfers to the skin.”

Modern convenience

Biomod’s balm masks are using new tech to deliver actives but also to make skin care masks more accessible.

“Not only are the clinical results of our collection truly astonishing, but a Balm Mask is considerably more comfortable and convenient for consumers,” Théberge tells the press.

“Each mask can be hygienically used multiple times,” she notes. “In terms of both proven results and ease of use, our Time Eraser Balm Masks are the ultimate complement to every woman’s current beauty regime.”

This spring the masks will be available through an undisclosed private label partnership at Selfridge’s.
