The latest People on the Move brings you decision-maker appointments from Lonza Consumer Care, International Fragrance and Flavors and Dow Personal Care.

Chad Holzer has been appointed to the position of global business director at Dow Home, Institutional and Personal Care Solutions, part of the Dow Chemical Company.

In the new appointment Holzer will manage a team of 40 employees acorss 12 manufacturing and research and development centers worldwide. He will be based in Philadelphia and report to Ralf Brinkmann, business president of Dow Consumer Care.

Holzer started with Dow as the strategic marketing manager in the Dow Building Solutions division, and takes up his new role having most recently served as global business director for the Monomers and Acrolein Derivatives business.

“I am excited to join Dow Home, Institutional and Personal Care Solutions, where I will have the chance to lead a business on the forefront of creating valuable and more sustainable solutions for customers and consumers all around the world,”​ said Holzer. 

Lonza Consumer Care appoints marketing manager

Vito Cataldo has been promoted to the role of marketing manager for Lonza Consumer Care in North America, where he will be charged with developing and leading marketing strategies to support the region.

Specifically, Cataldo will be focused on co-ordinating all the North America commercial marketing activities related to personal care, including application technology, regulatory, manufacturing and sales support.

Cataldo started with Lonza in 2007, as senior chemist, and has since been promoted within the ranks of the company.

His last role was as global product manager for personal care, where he oversaw the specialty ingredients portfolio.

IFF adds to its scientific advisory board

IFF has announced that Dr. Shekhar Mitra, president of Innoprenneur and Premium Consulting Partner at YourEncore, has been appointed to the company’s scientific advisory board, with immediate effect.

He is replacing a retiring Dr. Brian Willis, who is former senior vice president of R&D and board member of Quest Flavors and Fragrances, UK and Netherlands.

Dr. Mitra is expected to work alongside Dr. Ahmet Baydar, who leads the scientific advisory board R&D program, charged with delivering the company’s innovation strategy.
