People on the move – the latest industry appointments from Colep

In November 2013 the Portugal-based company acquired aerosol manufacturer Aerosoles Y Liquidos, based in Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico, with the aim of increasing its footprint throughout the North American and Central American markets.

The acquisition gave Colep the license to continue to manufacture the same type of packaging products under the trading name Colep S.A. de C.V, specifically increasing its offerings in aerosol technology to these markets.

Two exec appointments target US expansion​

As part of the next step in the development of the business, the company has announced the appointments of a new sales manager and a commercial director, both charged with growing the business in the United States.

“With a strong reputation in Europe, a robust supply chain from our Mexican facility and a strong innovation offer, we can offer competitive aerosol solutions and truly bring something fresh and new to the US market,”​ said Peter Ingelse, Managing Director of Colep’s Consumer products Division.                       

Jason Quinn has been appointed sales manager for the North American region. He is currently working for Colep out of the NYC region, and will bring with him an extensive array of experience in the both the packaging and beauty markets.

Appointments bring extensive experience​

Previously Quinn has worked as a packaging consultant at Tricorbraun and Territory Manager at Rieke Packaging Systems.

Meanwhile Paulo Sousa, who is currently Colep’s commercial director for its Consumer Products Division, has been appointed to the position of sales director for the Americas. Sousa has extensive experience working in the aerosols category and has fulfilled positions in sales, operations and supply chain management.
