The event will be held at the Trump Soho Hotel, in Manhattan, New York City and primarily aims to connect cosmetic suppliers in that region with companies from all over Italy, as well as internationally.
The event will kick off with an overview and introduction by E.Zannini, Cosmoprof Bologna WW director, Barbara Salimbeni, International marketing director and Daniela Ciocan, US marketing director, and will also be attended by the Cosmetics Design team.
Conference presentations and networking opportunities
The full-day program will include morning conference presentations, which will feature an orientation of the current opportunities in the US cosmetics market from Euromonitor, as well as a Seminar hosted by industry association ICMAD that will aim to elaborate on regulations concerning importation into the US market.
Later on in the morning there will be two further round table discussions, the first hosted by a group of leading players from the Italian market that will focus on the market-leading contract manufacturing capabilities for the color cosmetics in the country.
The second round table will be hosted by ICMAD and will include a number of key US cosmetics suppliers, who will be discussing the most effective strategies for success in the ultra-competitive US market.
‘Speed dating’ for buyers and suppliers
Following on from lunch, the event will offer a four hour networking opportunity that aims to connect buyers and suppliers from the US, with both Italian suppliers, as well as players from other European markets.
Concurrent to the networking, the NYC Fashion Institute will host the promotion of the key participating companies that will be involved in the event in the hotel’s Tribeca Room.
The day will be rounded off in the evening by a gala dinner that will be given in the hotel’s Soho Ballroom.
Building on its presence in the US
Because the event organizers are already well established in North America, they see the decision to launch the symposium as one that will broaden its reach, and in particular focus its activities in the all-important Northeastern board.
The Cosmoprof Worldwide team made the announcement about the new element during the Cosmoprof North America event, which was held in Las Vegas, from July 13 – 15, and is a leading event for the professional, spa, packaging and contract manufacturing segments.
In targeting the North Eastern board, the organizers are dipping into the most important region for the cosmetics and personal care business in the U.S. – a region that is said to be the home of up to 70% of the nation’s players.
