After nearly two years in the making, L'Oreal confirms it has completed its move to open up a major new US distribution center.

The multi-million dollar plan will see a 513,000-square-foot regional distribution hub opened in southern Dallas County.

The choice of the city followed a nationwide search for site locations by the global beauty brand, and Dallas was reportedly selected for the tax incentives approved by the city council.

These incentives total around $4.5 million’s worth, according to CBSDRW.com, including an economic development grant worth nearly $2 million.

Speaking to the Dallas Business Journal, Mayor Mike Rawlings has voiced his confidence in the move by the cosmetics company.

"L'Oreal is an international leader in their category and we now have a new community member. It shows the strategic importance of Dallas, as far as logistics. This shows that the Inland Port is alive and well and growing," he has noted.
