Valdata launches MRP system to tackle batching issues
Software specialist Valdata has launched a new Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system that can be incorporated into its inventory management system in an effort to enhance the scheduling and placement of ingredient of finished product batches.

The company says that the new addition to its Chemical Management System (CMP), serves to make container level inventory tracking and accuracy even more efficient, helping to eliminate bad batches that are invariably caused by human error.

The new addition to the software specifically tackles issues that production managers often face in meeting their planning objectives, including product availability and delivery as well as maintaining the lowest levels of stocks feasible to a smoothly run business operation.

A claimed 99.9 percent inventory accuracy

“What makes our MRP so effective and accurate is the quality of the data being used for calculations. Because our inventory module guarantees 99.9 percent inventory accuracy, you have the right information going into the MRP – and the right information coming out,” said Tom Winter, president of Valdata Systems.

With the incorporation of the MRP system into the CMP, the company claims that the software can enable production managers to review information across all CMS modules, to calculate all aspects of the material requirements.

These requirements include production issues such as current inventory, current shipping orders, current manufacturing orders, current purchase orders, minimum stock, lead time, QC lead time and costing recipes for items.

Can be used 'on the fly'

Likewise, the company also claims that the software tool is very easy to use and can be run ‘on the fly’, meaning at the touch of a button to check the status in real time of all inventory, while providing full data and details about those orders.

Earlier this year Valdata launched a new recipe management program that emphasizes both costing calculations, as well as a Cloud hosted version.

With formulators coming under increasing pressure to ensure that the formulation process is as efficient as possible, as well as being within budget, there is an increasing demand for more sophisticated tools to help make this process simpler.

Valdata’s Recipe Manager Pro 2013 is an updated version of the existed software program that the company offers, which has been redesigned to give increased functionality and streamlining for the formulation process.
