Ingredients supplier Croda celebrated an historic milestone of 75 years of continuous manufacturing and innovation at their production facility in New Castle, Delaware.

Croda acquired the Atlas Point site in 2006 as part of its acquisition of Uniqema from ICI, and has since invested over $70 million in upgrading the facility to improve workplace safety, deliver increased productivity and support its efforts to be more sustainable.

Since its inception in August of 1937, the Atlas Point manufacturing center, Croda’s largest manufacturing site, has produced many of the company’s key innovations.

"The Atlas Point manufacturing site is responsible for the creation of some of the chemical industry's most well-known emulsifiers, which are still manufactured and used today under their original trade names. Recent innovations have helped support cutting edge technologies such as solar panels and other initiatives to support a sustainable future,” said Kevin Gallagher, President of Croda Inc.
