In the first of our industry exclusive series of special reports, CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com spoke with management at European personal care association Cosmetics Europe as they spoke about the organisation's move and what the outlook is for the industry.

Fabio Franchina, president, and Bertil Heerink, director-general, welcomed the cameras to Cosmetic Europe's new headquarters in Brussels to explain that the name change was needed to provide more definition in the indusrty.

Along with that came a new headquarters in the industry hub, Brussels, and a new logo, which Heerink said better shows the image the organisation wants to portray.

On top of all that, Cosmetics Europe, formerly Colipa, celebrated its 50th anniversary, putting on a drinks celebration with its members. Heerink explained that thanks to the complementary systems in place in the industry, there is a positive outlook for the industry in the coming years.

Make sure you tune in next week when we bring you another special report from Brussels, looking into the current state of animal testing and alternatives.
