People on the move: cosmetics jobs
Cosmetics Design presents it latest round up of the movers and shakers in the cosmetics industry, including appointments at Beiersdorf, LVMH and Coty.

Finished goods player Beiersdorf saw its executive board member for Asia, James Wei, resign, with Thomas Quaas taking on the role in the New Year.

Quaas will be focusing particularly on China, developing and strengthening the two Chinese companies Nivea Shanghai and Beiersdorf Hair Care.

China is an important future growth market for Beiersdorf,” said Thomas-B. Quaas. “A comprehensive revision of the company’s business structures in China was already launched in the year 2011.”

Organisational changes have also taken place at Henkel, which has seen the promotion of Carsten Knobel as the new CFO.

The change will be effective from July 2012 and will see Knobel leave his old job as financial director of Henkel’s Cosmetics and Toiletries business.
