A round up of the latest packaging industry appointments shows new key executive positions being taken up at packaging player Topline and ingredients technology provider International Stem Cell.

New Jersey-based Topline, which earlier this week announced its expansion into the Europe with the acquisition of France-based company Cosworld-Primapack, has appointed David Prague to the position of vice president of operations.

The company, which specializes in the color cosmetics, skin care and personal care segments, says that the appointment builds on Prague’s 15 years of executive experience within the industry.

Building on experience in L’Oreal and Shya Hsin Packaging

Prague has previously worked at L’Oreal USA, where he was vice president of packaging at the consumer products division, and prior to the new appointment he held the position of president and managing director at Shya Hsin Packaging USA.

In 2008 Prague was named packaging executive of the year at the HBA awards, for his contribution and innovative approach to packaging design.

As Topline continues to grow its global presence with operations in Asia, Europe and North America, David Prague will bring his unique experience and expertise in product development and manufacturing to that strategy,” said Charles Chang, Topline president.

International Stem Cell appoints Linh Nguyen

Ingredients technology provider and skin care manufacturer International Stem Cell has appointed Linh Nguyen as chief financial officer, replacing Ray wood, as of 30 September, 2011.

With more than 17 years of experience in financial management and accountant, she has worked as chief financial officer for International Lottery & Totalizing Systems.

“She has a proven track record of implementing systems and controls that improve operational efficiency while managing growth," said International Stem Cell's president and CEO Andrey Semechkin.

"Her experience in managing international business programs will be invaluable as we expand our overseas partnerships and global development initiatives.”
