US-based biotech company Divine Skin (DS) has partnered with Indian manufacturer Ranbaxy Laboratories, as it looks to offer hair growth treatments and take advantage of the pharmaceutical firm's distribution channels.

Divine Skin’s flagship brand, DS Laboratories offers hair solutions to restore growth, add radiance to hair, and suppress dandruff and unwanted hair, among other health solutions.

Head-quartered in New Delhi, Ranbaxy Laboratories is a pharmaceutical company manufacturing generic medications, with a large global presence.

Large distribution network

Ranbaxy claims to have a large distribution pipeline and thus will be able to offer Divine Skin an expanded global distribution network.

Therefore, in forming a partnership, Ranbaxy will be able to sell DS Laboratories’ line of topical hair growth treatments.

“Ranbaxy certainly has the resources to develop its own hair-growth brand, yet it has chosen to partner with Divine Skin. It’s a powerful endorsement of our cutting-edge technologies”, stated Divine Skin CEO Daniel Khesin. “Now our challenge is to accelerate production to keep up with sales.”

According to Ranbaxy, it has customers in 125 countries, presence in 46 countries and manufacturing facilities in seven countries.

Hair treatments

Divine Skin claims to expand the treatment options available for men and women suffering hair loss and thinning.

The company’s line of hair-growth products includes several topical formulations, which it claims has been proven to work both at the vertex of the scalp and at the hairline.

Products offered by DS laboratories include the Spectral line of leave-in treatments and the Revita line of shampoo, conditioner, and eyelash treatment.

Formulas on offer by Divine Skin includes various combinations of minoxidil, finasteride, Aminexil, peptides, procyanidin, stem cells, spin traps, dihydrotestosterone inhibitors, and other ingredients.

According to the company, a proprietary nanosome delivery system encapsulates active compounds for deeper penetration, longer persistence, and greater efficacy.
