Packaging manufacturer Qosmedix has announced the arrival of a new dial-up applicator for personal care products designed for ease of use and durability.

The US-based company has designed the applicator for dosing out serums, or thin lotion based formulations, in addition to its existing packaging line.

The clear 2 ml tube comes complete with a silicone spatula tip and clear cap, allowing users to monitor product use.

“The clear tube helps show the level of content inside, indicating when to replace or refill your product in time for the next application,” Kelly Herrera, product development manager at Qosmedix, told CosmeticsDesign.com USA.

Durable and easy to use

Herrera explained that Qosmedix’s goal was to create a unique design that was durable and easy to use.

“The main benefit of this item is that it doses out the perfect amount of product during use, greatly minimizing product waste,” she said.

The piece has also been designed with a flexible silicone tip which Herrera claims offers a unique application experience and allows users to reach difficult contours of the face or body.

The flexible tip also allows users to apply the product across the desired area while ensuring the correct amount of product is used.

To use the applicator, there is a twist-click mechanism allowing the formula to advance to the tip, which Qosmedix states controls the flow. Meanwhile the spatula head then provides a smooth application.

Herrera explained that the ideal cosmetic formulas to use with this applicator are serums, eye creams, concealers and lip glosses.

Social media campaign

This is the first pack Qosmedix has launched since it begun its social media campaign last December.

The company turned to social media in order to inform a worldwide audience about the company, its history and its products, viewing it as a critical marketing tool for all industries.

The single-use applicator supplier claimed to have been meticulous in planning its social media strategy in order to ensure they consistently engaged their customers.
