Further promotions at Estee Lauder sees new position filled in the Artistry brands

Jennifer Balbier has been named senior vice president, global product development, Artistry brands, at Estee Lauder, overseeing all product development for MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox brands.

Balbier will continue to report to John Demsey, group president, at Estee Lauder as well as Harvey Gedeon, executive vice president global R&D and product innovation. She will begin her new assignment immediately.

John Demsey commented "Her [Balbier’s] highly developed expertise, passion and true mastery in cosmetics product development, coupled with her innate commercial sensitivity and creativity will help us to achieve the next level of growth for our Artistry Brands of MAC, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox."

Balbier’s current position is senior vice president global product development for just the MAC Cosmetics brand and according to the company; she has been instrumental in growing the brand into one of the top makeup artist brands in the world.

The appointment follows that of James Gager who was promoted to senior vice president, group creative director of MAC, La Mer and Jo Malone brands earlier this week.
