Key promotions announced at Estee Lauder

Global cosmetics company, Estee Lauder, has announced the promotion of executives Daniel M. Annese and Charisse Ford in an effort to continue building global momentum for the brand.

Jane Hertzmark Hudis, global brand president, Estée Lauder announced the promotions, effective immediately, with both executives reporting directly to her.

Annese has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, global general manager, market development. The role gives Annese responsibility for the growth and profitability of Estée Lauder’s business in North America, EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Travel Retail and the United Kingdom.

“Daniel is an extremely talented executive with broad experience in Sales, Marketing and Education, and a deep understanding of the cosmetics business,”​ said Hudis.

Annese joined Estée Lauder in 1994. He has served roles as senior vice president, general manager, Estée Lauder International, vice president, marketing, North America, as well as a series of positions of increasing responsibility in skincare marketing, fragrance marketing and education.

“Under his strong leadership, the Estée Lauder brand’s International business has experienced five years of uninterrupted growth. Expanding his role to cover North America and Global Education will provide Daniel with the opportunity to build global synergies with all regions,” ​Hudis continued.

Charisse Ford

Hudis also named Charisse Ford as senior vice president, global marketing. Ford will be responsible for global product marketing programs for the skincare, makeup and fragrance categories succeeding the recently departed Elana Drell Szyfe.

“Charisse is a brand builder who has done an extraordinary job in the skincare and makeup categories, spearheading the hugely successful launch of Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex – the biggest launch in the brand’s and the company’s history. I am thrilled that Charisse will bring her marketing talents to all categories and help innovate our skincare, makeup and fragrance businesses around the globe,”​ said Ms. Hudis.

Ford joined Estée Lauder in 2005, after holding marketing positions at Avon Products, Sara Lee and Kraft Foods. She most recently served as vice president, global marketing, skincare and face at Estée Lauder.
