Guthy-Renker has announced its partnership with Susan Evans, MD, for a new skin care line called The Papaya Renewal Collection.

The direct marketing company has teamed up with the dermatologist to offer a comprehensive collection of exfoliators, cleansers, and beauty treatments.

“We respect Dr. Evans as a leader in the field of dermatology and are excited to work with her to bring consumers skin care and beauty products that make a difference in their lives,” said Greg Renker, Guthy-Renker’s co-founder.

The move means the expansion of the Dr. Evans brand, and makes everyday skin care, doctor formulated at affordable prices, Dr. Evans told CosmeticsDesign.com USA.

“At this point in time, we are concentrating on the Papaya Collection, however there are plans for additional items as we expand our business.”

Use of papaya extract

Papaya is known to be great for exfoliation. Dr. Evans informed Cosmetics Design.com USA. Its extract has been used in surgeries to remove dead skin cells after scientists discovered the enzyme properties, and this is the reason for its use in Dr. Evans’ beauty product range.

The enzyme’s support in natural skin turnover is said to give a smoother, firmer and suppler appearance.

The decision to combine skin care benefits with beauty products comes as no surprise given the recent women’s product trend of ‘multi-tasking’.

“Women today like simple steps, or multi step combinations. They also like to stay young. Skin regimens should have combo cocktails that multi serve, repair and protect… with high grade vitamins, rich anti oxidants, peptides and other ingredients to help you improve the quality of your skin,” Dr. Evans explained to CosmeticsDesign.com USA.

The Papaya Renewal Collection by Dr. Evans Cosmeceuticals premieres on the Home Shopping Network on August 25 and 26, and will be back in late September.
