Health and Beauty America is scheduling two webinars in July – one on sustainable sourcing of ingredients and the other on global macro trends.

The two webinars serve as a means of promoting the fuller conference program for the forthcoming HBA Expo, which will be held in the Jacob Javits Center in New York City at the end of September.

The first webinar, entitled Palm Oil, Orangutans and Sustainability: A Beauty Industry Call to Action, will take place on the 23rd July at 10am EST and is free to view.

Reconciling sourcing with sustainability

The hour-long presentation will be given in association with Lipo Chemicals and will focus on how the industry is managing to reconcile the increased sourcing of ingredients with sustainability.

Live speakers will include Birute Mary Galdikas, an expert on sustainable sourcing of resources for industry who will also respond to live questions during the presentation.

The second webinar, entitled The Times, They Are A-Changing: A Look at Three Macro Trends For the Beauty Industry, will take place on 29th July at 2pm EST and will also last for 60 minutes.

Macro trends in beauty

The key focus of this presentation will be to provide a window on what suppliers and beauty manufacturers are buying, and more importantly, what they are looking to buy.

The webinar will platform speakers from the expo conference in September, including Donna Tarantino-Loyle, Director of Health and Beauty, ShopNBC; Karen Young, President and CEO, The Young Group and Jenny Rushmore, Global Sustainability Manager, Procter and Gamble.

Shifting consumer needs

These speakers will focus on shifting consumer needs, changing distribution patterns and the impact of sustainable practices on the industry, and the presentations will be rounded off by a question and answer session.

Both webinars will also be made available as a recording for later downloading by those unable to make the live session. Further information on registration can be found by clicking here.
