Elizabeth Arden takes over John Varvatos fragrance license

Cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden has taken over the license agreement for John Varvatos fragrances from Shiseido.

The agreement concerns the development, marketing and distribution of men’s and women’s fragrances under the John Vavatos brand.

"This license provides us the opportunity to grow our market share of the men's fragrance market with an already existing and successful men's designer fragrance brand,” Ron Rolleston, Executive Vice President of Global Fragrance Marketing.

The John Varvatos collection comprises three fragrances and is primarily sold in prestige department stores across the US. Shiseido will continue to sell the fragrances until June 30, 2010, according to Elizabeth Arden.
