CP Kelco’s personal care ingredients get Ecocert certification
Hydrocolloids manufacturer CP Kelco has attained Ecocert certification for 21 of its products aimed at the personal care and cosmetics industries.
According to the company, the move is in response to consumer demand for natural and organic products in this market.
“This validation enhances our product offering to our customers, who require independent certification for organic labeled products,” said Bruce Hein, positioning manager, marketing – EMEA at the company.
There is a trend within the personal care industry to move away from synthetic thickeners, according to the company, and the Ecocert certification allows the company to address this.
“Having ECOCERT validation, combined with our application expertise in formulating with natural polymers, helps fulfil this market trend and enables our customers to formulate organic or naturally certified products,” Hein added.
