Verdure Sciences is soon to be issued with a patent for its Pomella Extract ingredient, which can be used in cosmetics applications.

The US Patents and Trademark Office granted a Notice of Allowance for the pomegranate-based extract, which states that a patent will be issued upon payment of the issue fee.

According to Verdure, a supplier of bionutritionals, the Pomella extract has been shown to be a potent anti-oxidant with anti-inflammatory properties, thus has potential to be used in cosmetics.

The kosher-certified and GMO-free Pomella extract is available in USDA Certified Organic forms.
