HPCI targets formulators in Central and Eastern Europe

The two day conference will touch on topics as diverse as skin ageing, active ingredients, bioavailability, nanotechnology, ecological cleaning, legislation, sensory issues and the latest in formulation technologies.

Over the two days the programme will feature seven different themed sessions, starting off with safety, then actives part 1, penetration, home care, formulations, actives part 2 and nutraceuticals.

The event organisors say that have gathered leading experts in the field of each of these areas to give individual presentations that will make up the sessions as a whole, which will each last approximately two hours.

Safety focuses​

The session on safety will include presentations on the evaluation of cosmetics products, skin absorption and its assessment, together with an insight into the use of nanoparticles in sunscreens.

The two sessions regarding actives will cover a total of 15 presentations, which will also include two feedback and discussion sessions.

The presentations will include certification body NaTrue on labelling, LMV peptides in cosmetics, skin barrier responses to moisturisers, antioxidants in anti-ageing products and the Radical Skin Factor.

Skin penetration​

Amongst others, the penetrations session will look at skin absorption, skin penetration of flavonoids and collagen-based systems and their applications in cosmetic products.

The formulations session will include presentations about a new type of sunscreen, cost effective formulations that maintain high performance, the effect of the lipid phase in formulations and plant oils in cosmetics

The nutraceuticals session will look at key issues in this fast evolving category, including skin and hair care applications, the role of nutricosmetics in beauty and health care and the status of these products with respect to legislation.
