Subnil launches its fastest ever tube filler
The Condor 300 is the latest addition to Subnil’s range of tube fillers and the fastest machine the company has ever developed. Other machines in its tube filling range offer speeds of between 35 and 150 tubes a minute.
The new machine can fill metal, laminate and plastic tubes and can handle viscous and semi-viscous products including toothpaste, creams and gels.
The Condor 300 also closes tubes, crimping metal tubes and sealing plastic and laminate ones.
Profile of the Condor 300
Subnil said the new Condor 300 is a linear-chain design and offers all the features of its existing rotary machines including vertical product dosing, bottom-up filling with shut-off nozzle and tool-less changeover. Additional options are also available such as multi-colour filling and profiled seals.
Once tubes are manually transferred from the tube box to the cassette of the Condor 300, they are moved to a servo-driven conveyor.
From there, the tubes are picked up by a servo-driven rotary pick-up device and loaded into tube holders. The tubes then travel through the orientation, filling and closing stations before being ejected. Both the indexing and the main drive are servo-driven.
Full tube packaging line
The Condor 300 can be linked with its sister company Vectacraft’s Merlin 300XC cartoner and Osprey 25 bundler to form a line – the SL 300 tube packaging line. With the soon to be added Kestrel 10s casepacker, the SL 300 will be a full tube packaging line.
