Idaho-based Unicep Packaging says it has invested in new facilities to increase its contract mixing capabilities.

The company has installed four additional 2,500 gallon tanks at is mixing plant, which it says gives its significantly increased capacity to support the requirements of the personal care industry and a number of related industries.

The aim of the investment is to increase the size of its customer base by developing the services it provides to existing customers as well as opportunities to serve new customers.

The company said it chose to expand the facilities after it had received an unprecedented number of requests from customers and potential customers to provide them with mixing capabilities to manufacture their products.

“The additional tanks will add three times the capacity we had prior to the installation and allow us to partner with customers in a wider scope,” said Clint Marshall, VP of business development at Unicep.

The company, which started as a contracter for dose packaging, has developed the patented MicroDose and Twist-dip dispensing systems.
